Open cooling tower is a type of equipment used in industrial production, mainly for the circulation of cooling water.
The main principle of an open cooling tower is to utilize the evaporative cooling effect of water and make full contact with air through the filling layer inside the tower to reduce the temperature of water. The advantage of an open cooling tower is its simple structure, easy maintenance and operation, and it is suitable for water circulation cooling systems in large-scale industrial production.
Its principle is based on the evaporative cooling effect of water, and its working process is as follows:
The water pump delivers high-temperature water to the top of the open cooling tower, and then evenly sprays it onto the packing layer through the nozzle.
Water forms a thin water film in the packing layer, and at this time, air enters the tower through the air inlet at the bottom of the tower. After passing through the packing layer, water and air are in full contact.
During contact with air, water evaporates, causing the temperature of the water to decrease and the air to be humidified.
The cooled water flows back to the water pump through the water tank at the bottom of the tower and is reused.
